Janet teaches the State-required 40-Hour Administrator Certification Course, preparing future Administrators with the knowledge, confidence, and regulatory foundation needed to successfully operate a licensed Assisted Living facility. She also provides staff orientation and training support, easing the burden of hiring and onboarding while improving operational consistency across the facility.
Janet offers comprehensive consulting services for both proactive operational improvement and mandated consultation resulting from CDPHE survey citations or compliance concerns. Her approach focuses on strengthening systems, simplifying processes, and empowering leadership so Administrators can manage operations more efficiently and effectively.
With over 22 years of experience in senior care, Janet served as an Administrator/Executive Director overseeing eight group homes for 14 years and has partnered with larger 65-bed facilities to enhance compliance, optimize survey outcomes, and elevate overall operational performance. Her experience includes responding to 80+ state surveys, establishing Policies & Procedures, developing Quality Management Programs (QMP),
Janet holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Marketing from the University of Colorado – Denver and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Janet is an Elected Board Member of CALA, representing over 650 Assisted Living facilities in Colorado. Through her role, she supports members in managing and growing their businesses, advocates for legislative change, and champions the senior care community. She currently serves as President and Chair of the Government Relations Committee.

Janet serves on the Assisted Living Advisory Committee (ALAC), a role she has held since July 2018 and will continue through July 2027.
Appointed by the executive department director, the committee advises on rules, regulations, and industry challenges. Janet volunteers her time to provide guidance and advocate for the Assisted Living community.
